Isis sells his art

At the 2007 "Moving Forward" Muscular Dystrophy Conference gala dinner, Isis help to fundraise for the event by selling four original artworks. Inspired by the fantastic Dave Devries and the work of his at The Monster Engine website, Isis drew unique and creative images which his parents Jasmine and Nick Barfuss colored.

These images were originally intended to sell individually, but ended being bought by an interested party at $750.00 AUD.

Below are the images that we sold to assist in the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Western Australia fund raising for Statewide Cough Assist machines.

Useful Documents

Below is a list of articles that have been saved from various sources off of the internet that relate to Rigid Spine Musular Dystrophy. The information is rare and hard to find, being that there is little out there.

We hope this list will grow, as we accumulate more and more articles that will help us, and others deal with what RSMD has instore.

  1. Congenital Muscular Dystrophy with Rigid Spine Syndrome: A Clinical, Pathological, Radiological, and Genetic Study
This article basically covers the ins and outs of Rigid Spine, using a case study of 4 children in America to highlight problems, and concerns. THis was the first article we ever found.

  2. Rigid spine syndrome (RSS)
A good article that isn't as techinchal as the previous document above, it talks on a more parental level.

  3. Early onset myopathy with a novel mutation in the Seleno protein Ngene (SEPN1)
Very complex, but very thourough. This article made a lot more sense after we attended the 2007 Musular Dystrophy "Moving Forward" Conference.

Check this page often as we will post articles we find here...
